SF Shakes will be casting an 8-to-10-actor ensemble* consisting of the following:

• 5 AEA Professional Actors: LORT D scale ($739/week during rehearsals and weeks with 4 performances; $144/performance for weeks with 2-3 performances; plus overtime for rehearsal on non-performance days.)
• 1-3 non-AEA Professional Actors: ($18.48/hour, comparable to Equity rates)
• 1-2 non-AEA Performance Interns: ($17.00/hour): Play small roles; understudy supporting roles
• 2-4 non-AEA full-time understudies: (same rates as #2 above)

*Some roles will be precast.
SF Shakes is committed to paying for all artistic work and for all hours worked. We do not work more than 40 hours/week, and we do not have 10-out-of-12 tech rehearsals – maximum hours are 8-out-of-10.

We are committed to hiring our local Bay Area acting community whenever possible, and regret that we are unable to provide housing for non-local actors. All actors should have access to local housing within 50 miles of San Francisco.
